Author Guide

This section provides general information to authors about the application process and the stages following the application:
All communications during the application process are conducted via email and the website. To avoid emails being marked as spam, we recommend checking your spam folder. To contact us, please use the email address iletisimedea@gmail.com.
Articles must be written in accordance with the journal's writing rules and must comply with the article template. Articles that do not comply with the writing rules will be returned without being evaluated.
Articles submitted to our journal must comply with publication ethics.
When submitting your application, personal information such as your name and surname should not be included in the article file you upload to the system.
When uploading the article to the system, the author names must be entered completely in the registration form filled out on the website. No author names can be added or removed from submitted articles after the process has begun.
Submitted articles must be original. They must not have been submitted or published elsewhere.
The author(s) must obtain a similarity (plagiarism) report for the submitted article and upload it to the system during the application process. (The work must be reviewed using a similarity program such as Turnitin or iThenticate, and the similarity rate, excluding sources, must be less than 15%, and the similarity rate to a single source must be less than 3%.)
The publication rights of the published work belong to the journal. All ethical responsibility for the published work belongs to the author(s). Authors assume all responsibility for copyright infringement, plagiarism, or other violations.
Authors should take care to comply with all guidelines. Articles that do not comply with the specified guidelines will be returned.
The language of the article should be Turkish or English. An extended abstract (750-1000 words) in English should be prepared for Turkish articles, and an extended abstract in Turkish should be prepared for English articles.
The bibliography should be organized in accordance with the procedures and principles set forth in the 7th edition of the APA Citation Rules. Each reference in the bibliography should be checked to ensure that the in-text citations are provided in accordance with the rules and principles.
Authors should not expect their articles to be published in the first issue after the date of submission to the journal. The review process for articles varies depending on the workload.
No royalties are paid for published articles.
It is recommended that submitted works not exceed 20 pages (10,000 words).
In studies requiring Ethics Committee approval, information regarding the approval (committee name, date, and number) should be included in the section following the references.
In case reports, information regarding the informed consent form signed by the volunteer must be included in the article.
For studies conducted using qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants through surveys, interviews, focus group studies, observations, experiments, or interview techniques, and that require an ethics committee decision, separate ethics committee approval must be obtained, and this approval must be stated and documented in the article. In addition, permission must be obtained from the owners and indicated for the use of scales, surveys, and photographs belonging to others; compliance with copyright regulations must be indicated for the ideas and works of art used.
Retrospective ethics committee approval is not required for articles that use research data from before 2020, are produced from master's/doctoral studies (this must be stated in the article), or were submitted to the journal for publication in the previous year, accepted, but not yet published.
Researchers who are not members of the university may apply to the Ethics Committee in their region for an Ethics Committee Report.
If artificial intelligence tools were used at any point in the study, they must be mentioned in the methods and references sections.
